Grit Bins in Queensbury and Cllrs Lynda and Paul Cromie

Grit Salt 014 200 bags (5)

Hi Stuart,

Just to clarify Lynda is seen with 200 bags of grit salt. I started re-filling the bins today. Also a list of all the grit bins we have supplied to Queensbury residents. Kind regards and best wishes for the New Year to you and all your readers,

Paul and I have allocated 33 grit bins to Queensbury residents over the past 5 years out of our own pocket when Bradford Council refused to provide any because of the lack of funding.

1 Pennine Close            17 Hainsworth Moor
2 Kingfisher Court        18 Winscar Ave
3 F oxcroft Close            19 Thornton Road
4 Littlemoor                    20 Sharket Head Close
5 Glazier Road                21 Littlemoor 2nd bin
6 Johnscroft                    22 Ouzel Drive
7 Cheriton Drive            23 Ouze Drive 2nd bin
8 Station Road                24 Tree Top View
9 Cambridge Street        25 Condor Close
10 Magpie Close            26 Ford Hill by pub
11 Brunswick Street      27 Micklethwaiet Drive
12 Uplands Ave 28 Campbell Street
13 Cooper Lane 29 Russell Hall
14 Highgate Grove 30 Peel Street
15 Baptist Fold 31 Back Lane tbd
16 Digley Ave

We continue to refill them every year at our own expense 200 bags of salt costing between £800 to £1000 plus the initial cost of the bins £2,970.

Because Queensbury is unique re its inclement weather we believe Bradford Council should make Queensbury a priority when it comes to allocating extra bins, what about it Dave, Val, Simon.  Lynda and I could easily find homes for another dozen or so grit/salt bins?

The Ward Budget funding has been cut by the Labour Group who bitterly complain that it is due to the Tory/Lib-Dem funding cuts to Paul and I have allocated 33 grit bins to Queensbury residents over the past 5 years out of our own pocket when Bradford Council refused because of the lack of funding.

Kind regards Councillors Lynda and Paul Cromie (Queensbury Ward Independents)
